Andrea De Zordo is an Italian Formula 1 engineer, currently Technical Director of the Haas F1 Team. Born 1 May 1974 in Faenza, Italy — the historic home of the Minardi team, today's Visa Cash App RB — he leads Haas's design and engineering effort, much of which is based in Maranello through the team's technical partnership with Ferrari. ¹²

Career path

He began in F1 as a stress engineer at Minardi around 2001, staying through roughly 2004 in the squad's pre-Red Bull era. He then moved to McLaren for about five years as a design engineer during a period that produced the title-winning MP4-23, before returning to Italy to join Ferrari as a senior design engineer. Over more than a decade at Maranello he rose through the design hierarchy to Head of Mechanical Design and ultimately Deputy Chief Designer, building the kind of broad mechanical-design pedigree that underpins a technical-director role. ¹²
